Shillong , April 10: The National People’s Party (NPP) on Wednesday strongly condemned the assault incident, which led to the death of a labourer and two others injured at Mawlai Mawroh.
“We urge the police to take action and ensure perpetrators are brought to book at the earliest,” NPP spokesperson Himalaya M Shangpliang said in a statement.
It may be mentioned that a house laborer from Nongmynsong was assaulted to death by unknown miscreants on Wednesday in Mawlai Mawroh, Shillong.
According to East Khasi Hills SP Rituraj Ravi, the incident took place around 11:15 am.
The victim, identified as Arjun Ray (52), succumbed to injuries at NEIGRIHMS.
