Guwahati, May 18: The opposition parties in Assam slammed chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his recent tweet on the colour of constitution of India.
In a recent tweet Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made controversy after he in his tweet said the original copy of the Constitution of India has a blue cover.
A tweet of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who is BJP’s star campaigner for West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha and Bihar has gone viral where he tweeted ” the original copy of the Constitution of India has a blue cover .
The original Chinese constitution has a red cover. Does Rahul carry a Chinese Constitution? We need to verify.”
AIUDF MLA Hafiz Rafiqul Islam said, “There is no fixed colour of Indian constitution. Chief minister also wears red gamcha, is it also from China. This is not a right tweet. His tweet was baseless because in the constitution the articles are the main thing colour is not important,”.
“Constitution has many colours but contents inside is same.We dont read the colour but what is inside. Colour don’t endorse any purpose. The colour of the constitution displayed by Rahul Gandhi criticised by Himanta Biswa Sarma is not correct,” said Abdul Rashid Mondal, Congress MLA.
