Jowai, April 15: The 9th U Kiang Nangbah Inter Office Badminton & Carom Board Championship organised by the Meghalaya State Government Employees Federation, Jaiñtia Hills Unit, concluded on the evening of April 14, 2022, at the Indoor Hall, Seiñraij Jowai.
During the concluding day of the Championship, the District Agriculture Officer, West Jaiñtia Hills, D. Pyrbot, attended it as the Chief Guest where he lauded the Federation of Government Employees for organising the championship.
The Badminton Men’s Doubles Category was won by the PHE Department, Men’s Single was won by the office of the DM&HO, and Carom Board championship was won by Kiang Nangbah Govt College.
The office of the DM&HO which was represented by Dr. Peterson L Lamare defeated Dauru Laloo of the PWD in the finals of the Badminton Men’s Single.
In the Badminton Men’s Double, the PHE Department represented by Inar Kyndiah and Roskil Challam defeated the DM&HO represented by Dr. Peterson L Lamare and Rimilan Passah.
In the Carom Board Men’s Double the Kiang Nangbah Govt. College Jowai, represented by Satisfyme Dkhar and Bashanbor Dkhar defeated the office of the DIPR represented by Holywell Dhar and George Hamilton Kungle.
