Tura, Dec 20: In a counter-insurgency operation conducted on Monday, West Garo Hills Police recovered one live grenade and 6 round 7.62mm ammunition near Tura.

The recovery was made from Du’magitok village located approximately 15 kms from Tura.

Police informed that in the interest of public safety, the grenade was been destroyed on the spot.

A case has been registered and investigation is taking place.
