Tura, July 15: The West Garo Hills Police has urged the public not to be swayed by rumours and misconceptions surrounding a viral video, posted on the Facebook page of ‘Dimseng Ampang Sangma Fans Clup’, in which a person is being gagged and assaulted.

Following the video going viral, the West Garo Hills Police launched an inquiry into the incident and found that the person featured in the video had visited the premises of Green Mile Pvt. Ltd company on Friday night at approximately 10:30 pm.

It was determined that the individual was under the influence of alcohol and had initiated a verbal altercation with the manager and staff of the company. Despite attempts to calm him down as some lady staff are also staying on the campus, the person involved was unable to control his aggressive behaviour.

Subsequently, the family members of the individual involved notified the Dobasipara Beat House regarding the incident, but did not want to proceed with a formal case.

In light of the factual details and truth coming to the fore, the West Garo Hills police has urged the public to not get misled by the rumours.
