Guwahati, May 6: Assam gears up for the third phase of polling, teams including presiding and polling officers are on their way to the respective polling stations with election material for third phase of Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday.
As per reports the Polling parties from Maniram Diwan Trade Center have been dispatched this morning to their designated polling stations in four parliamentary constituencies – Guwahati, Barpeta, Kokrajhar and Dhubri.
In the third phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, slated on May 7, voting will be held in the remaining four out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam. The voting process for 10 Lok Sabha seats has already been completed in the first two phases of the elections.
Speaking to Hub News a Presiding officer said that, “we have received three trainings, and SOP was also given to us. Voting materials have also been collected.
Another polling officials stated that it is a task assigned by the government and he is fully prepared to diligently perform the duties.
