Process to shift CRPF Camp from Mawlai has started: Conrad

Shillong, Nov 14: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Monday informed that the process to shift CRPF Camp from Mawlai has started.

The Chief Minister had a meeting with the Rangbah Shnong of Mawlai on Monday.

“We had gone to meet the headman there and in the entire discussion we had explained to them that the process of shifting of the CRPF camp has started,” he said.

Informing about the complications of the process, the CM said, “We had to really work on this because there were many complications which had to be addressed and many issues that have to be looked into and therefore we explained the entire story and the entire work that has been done in the last 2 to 3 years.”

“We have a very feasible plan to move forward and we are waiting for some instructions from MHA and all the three stakeholders, which is the public of Mawlai area and the government of Meghalaya and the CRPF… that way we have worked on the strategy; we feel that all three will be in a win-win situation and we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to start the process,” he added.
