“Many a times sarkari mindset of banking staff compels customers to wait in line for 3-4 hours just to submit an application in a bank. Such behavior needs to be done away with and the private banking fraternity can play a very important role in this,” suggested the chief minister.

He said the setting up of another bank in Tura- PNB will further expand banking facilities in the region and also boost the economy.

“Exponential growth in the economy can only be seen by infusing funds through banks and financial institutions and entrepreneurs and businessmen need to take such risks by taking money from the banks and investing in the economy’s growth,” said Conrad sangma.
