Agartala, October 15: Just ahead of his trip to Mizoram, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a brief stop at MBB Airport in Agartala on Monday.
During his short stay, he held a concise meeting with the Congress leadership in Tripura.
State Congress president Asish Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, and other leaders were present during the airport meeting.
Following this meeting, Rahul Gandhi departed for Mizoram in a chopper, where he is set to campaign for two days.
Later, Sudip Roy Barman, said that the meeting had revolved around the party organization within Tripura. Gandhi also inquired about the well-being of the state’s people during this brief encounter.
Roy Barman further disclosed that Rahul Gandhi would be returning through Agartala tomorrow afternoon and after election in the five states he would be planning a visit to Tripura in the near future.
