Guwahati, Jan 21: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday asserted that Rahul Gandhi used to be afraid of him, and how he has started to fear his son.
Talking to reporters, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Earlier, Rahul Gandhi used to afraid of me, now he has started to fear my son. My son will not come into politics then why he (Rahul Gandhi) is afraid of my son”.
Taking on Rahul Gandhi’s corruption allegations, CM Sarma said, “Rahul Gandhi pehle toh mujhse darta tha, ab mere bacche se bhi darna shuru kar diya”.
Rahul Gandhi made some serious allegations against CM Sarma calling him the most corrupt chief minister in the country and that his family including his children too engaging in corruption.
When asked about CBI probe against his family business, CM Sarma said its ‘bachpana’ of Rahul Gandhi. “Rahul Gandhi is fearing my son who is a student. He will not come into politics,” Sarma said.
The chief minister hit back maintaining that none can be more corrupt than the Gandhi family.
It started when the Congress leader launched a veiled attack on CM Sarma while addressing a public rally during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Friday. Rahul Gandhi said, “most corrupt CM” in the country and could “teach corruption” to other BJP chief ministers.
