Shillong, Sept 26: Heavy rainfall triggered a mudslide in Ri Bhoi District’s Patharkhmah on Tuesday.
According to reports, there have been no casualties reported, but there have been huge losses in terms of vehicles damaged.
This unfortunate incident unfolded around 3 p.m. as relentless rainfall led to a mudslide and toppled trees, wreaking havoc on the parked cars near the market area in Patharkhmah.

Most of the affected vehicles are owned by local villagers.
The video, which is circulating online, shows the extensive damage incurred by one particular vehicle: a Maruti (Van) Omni with registration number AS-01-BP-2426.
The police department, with the help of the local residents, is working to clear the road, ensuring minimal disruption to people’s travel.
