Shillong, July 15: Rajabala MLA Dr. Mizanur Rahman Kazi has highlighted the ongoing flood issues plaguing the plain belt of the Garo Hills region and has urged the government to consider constructing an embankment from Rajpur Area, Phulbari to Magurmari.

He emphasized that this initiative would not only prevent financial losses but also significantly enhance the quality of life for local residents.

Dr. Kazi stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of the floods rather than merely providing post-flood assistance.
