Shillong, Sept 5: Rangdajied United Football Club (RUFC) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bengaluru Football Club to boost player development and enhance professional growth for coaches, aiming to strengthen the football ecosystem in Meghalaya.
The collaboration focuses on two key areas:
1. Player Pathways:
The MOU will provide young footballers from RUFC with a structured pathway to progress into higher levels of professional football. With access to Bengaluru FC’s scouting programs, training opportunities, and exposure to elite football, players will have the chance to reach national and international stages.
2. Coaches Development:
The partnership will also focus on raising coaching standards. RUFC coaches will benefit from workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on training conducted by Bengaluru FC’s experienced staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest techniques and knowledge to nurture young talent.
RUFC President, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with Bengaluru FC is a major milestone for our club and the wider football community in Meghalaya. We look forward to working closely with a club that has set high standards in Indian football, and together, we will create sustainable pathways for players and coaches to grow and reach their full potential.”
Bengaluru FC’s Director of Football, Darren Caldiera, echoed these sentiments, saying, “This partnership with RUFC will help us expand our talent pool and discover promising players in Meghalaya and surrounding regions. Eugeneson’s passion for youth football development and belief in Bengaluru FC’s processes have been crucial to this association, and I’m excited to see it flourish.”
