Guwahati, June 5: One of the most awaited Ravi Sharma starrer Assamese film ‘Sri Raghupati’ was released in the theatres on Monday after Gauhati High Court dismissed the former producer Sailen Kumar Sarma’s case.

The the movie was initially banned from screening on June 2.

The movie screening started in the theatres from Monday at 11 AM after an arbitration appeal was filed in the high court following the announcement of the stay order on the release of the movie.

In this matter, the high court issued a clear directive ordering the release of the movie “Sri Raghupati.”

The letter from the advocate reads, ““This is to certify that the Hon’ble High Court while entertaining the Arbitration Appeal No.5/2023 with Interlocutory Application No. 1576/2023, has passed a categorical order directing release of the motion picture namely “Sri Raghupati” at 11.00 A.M. today (05.06.2023). The certified copy of the court order will be supplied immediately”.

Earlier, actor Ravi Sarma had appealed to his fans to have patience and also assured them that the film will be soon available for cinema lovers.
