Williamnagar, Nov 4: Meghalaya Police today arrested one Rahu Arengh on charges of kidnapping. “Arengh was arrested from Gabil Bi’sa in a raid which was conducted based on source information by police team from Rongmil,” said Bruno Sangma, SP of East Garo Hills.
Police have seized one kukri (knife) from his possession.
He had managed to escape police net in September, while the mastermind of Rengdim kidnapping case Bronson Momin was arrested from Gabil Koksi.
Earlier in September, the police had seized a dummy AK riffle, one kukri and one SBBL handgun from Bronson Momin’s possession. “Rahu was absconding till yesterday. He has been brought to Rongjeng Police Station for further investigation by the West Khasi Hills Police,” the SP added.
