Shillong, March 26: The Ri-Bhoi District Police on Wednesday arrested three suspected bike lifters in separate cases and are continuing investigations to dismantle the theft networks operating across districts.

Two of the accused, identified as Arjun Pohktai alias Fedrik (25) of Iarbamon village, East Khasi Hills, and Stevenson Bareh (25) of Amdoh village, West Jaintia Hills, were arrested in connection with Umiam PS Case No. 16(2) 2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Meanwhile, another accused, Wanshemlang Lyngdoh resident of Mawkynthei, Sohiong, was taken into custody in connection with Khanapara PS Case No. 08(03) 2025 under Sections 303(3)/61(2)/317(3) of the BNS.
