Tura, Jan 25: The Superintendent of Supply, West Garo Hills, Tura, announced on Thursday that the rice distribution for January 2024 has been authorised for all NFSA (National Food Security Act) and Non-NFSA beneficiaries in the Tura Sadar Division.
In accordance with the directive, all Fair Price Shop Dealers operating under the Tura Sadar Division are instructed to distribute rice based on the government-prescribed scale.
For AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) beneficiaries, identified by a yellow color code, the allocation is set at 35 kg of rice per head per month, provided free of cost. PHH (Priority Households) beneficiaries, marked with a pink color code, are entitled to receive 5 kg per head per month without any charge.
Non-NFSA beneficiaries, distinguished by a blue color code, are eligible for 7.105 kg per card per month at a rate not exceeding Rs. 13/- per kg, as determined by the Price Vigilance Committee of the Fair Price Shop Centre.
The Superintendent of Supply urged all eligible beneficiaries to procure their allocated quota from their respective Fair Price Shop Dealers. Simultaneously, the Fair Price Shop Dealers are directed to adhere strictly to the prescribed scale and rates mentioned above during the distribution process.
