Shillong, April 27: The Riwar Mihngi Development Council (RMDC) has demanded the state government to pay ex-gratia to the families of the two victims of Rngaiñ Landslide.

RMDC president Sinophil B Tariang and Secretary-General Dmuising Khongjirem on Thursday met the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Pynursla, to submit their demand and also urged the government official to speed up the process in ex-gratia payment.

The two victims are Krejunelang Khongjirem and Seiborlang Jaktung. The two were crushed under huge boulders triggered by a landslide at Rngaiñ area under Pynursla Sub Division on April 14, 2023.
