Shillong, April 3: Former Chief Secretary RV Suchiang on Thursday was sworn-in as the State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
The oath was administered by Governor C.H. Vijayashankar, in the presence of various state government officials and the newly appointed CIC’s family members.

The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem, followed by the reading of the official notification by F R. Kharkongor, Commissioner Secretary, Department of Arts and Culture, who announced Suchiang’s appointment.
Suchiang will serve a three-year term as the Chief Information Commissioner of Meghalaya.
