Amlarem, Dec 8: The Ammutong Govt. L.P. School under Amlarem Civil Sub Division on Thursday celebrated its platinum jubilee where the Minister of Education Lahkmen Rymbui laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new building at the cost of Rs. 44,78,448.

The Ammutong Govt. L.P. School was established in 1947 by the elders of Ammutong village as a missionary school and it was also recognised by the JHADC.

Rymbui, who is also the local MLA, stated that the rights of the people are umpteen but it depends on their local representatives to deliver it to them.

When it comes to education institutions in Amlarem area, he stated that there are many L.P, U.P and Secondary Schools, and with the teachers there is no reasons for the children to dropout.

He also urged the people to avail the benefits from the government, which includes employment, agriculture, etc.
