The Canadian rock legend will kick-off 5-city India tour from Shillong on December 10. The concert at the JN Stadium is expected to draw thousands of fans not just from all over Meghalaya but also from neighbouring States like Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal, and others.

After Shillong, Bryan Adams will perform at Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

In view of the huge crowd expected in Shillong city, the Directorate of School Education & Literacy has asked all schools to be closed on Tuesday. The decision was also based on a request from the State Tourism Department.

“…pertaining to the large scale program to be held on 10th December, 2024 in Shillong and in view of the anticipated large influx of attendees which may result in significant traffic congestion and also keeping in view the traffic restrictions imposed within the city, it is hereby notified that all schools within the municipal limits of Shillong shall remain closed for the entire day on 10th December, 2024. All concerned heads of institutions are directed to ensure compliance,” an order by Swapnil Tembe, Director of School Education & Literacy, read.

Bryan Adams tour is set to showcase a selection of his greatest hits, as well as songs from his latest album, “So Happy It Hurts.” Released in 2022, the album features a collection of uplifting tracks that highlight Adams’ signature sound and lyrical prowess.
