Shillong, December 22: The Seng Samla Dum Dum, in collaboration with its committee members, successfully launched the 3rd edition of the “Run for Unity” marathon on Saturday, aimed at promoting physical fitness and fostering a sense of community and sporting spirit.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Richmond B. L. Nonglait, General Secretary of Seng Samla Dum Dum, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in inspiring youth to prioritize their health and strive to be role models in their respective fields.

“This marathon is not just a race but a celebration of unity and wellness. It serves as a stepping stone for young individuals to achieve both personal and collective milestones,” Nonglait stated.

The event kicks off an exciting series of activities scheduled from December 28, 2024, to January 13, 2025. Events such as Housie, Carrom, Badminton, and Dance competitions will offer a platform for showcasing talents and strengthening community bonds.
