Nongpoh, Nov 6: The Seng Samla Nongpoh Proper celebrated 32 years of its institution on Saturday, calling upon the youth to stand united and serve the society to the best of their abilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Anthony Suchiang, the president, and Herroi Nongrum, general secretary, expressed their happiness and gratitude to the founding leaders of the Seng Samla Nongpoh Proper for uniting the youth under one umbrella and to serve the society to their best for the betterment of the local residents.

They also reminded the youth of their responsibilities in giving their best to look after the welfare of the village, must have the spirit of unity and the bond of understanding so that they can also uplift the society.

Further, they called upon every youth of Nongpoh to stand firm against the menace and social evils which might prevail in the area and eradicate them.

The programme concluded with the flying of the Sky Lantern.
