Shillong Oct 23: While singers in Bollywood are doing a great job with their soulful songs, there are some other underrated singers who’re giving a different meaning to these original numbers.
Meet Edilbert Shane Kharbuki who is already rocking YouTube with his R&B music. Shillong Based music artist Edilbert Kharbuki a.k.a Shane unfolding a whole new experience by giving a background score where celebrities Alia Bhatt and Masaba Gupta can be seen grooving to its lilting tune for the Samsung’s new ad campaign for sustainability.
Be it the inspiration from R&B or a Country song, the music has broken across barriers of language and culture.
Hub News had the opportunity to catch up with the artist himself to talk about his new venture and experience.
Shane’s Personal Experience
Sharing excerpts from his personal experience, Shane shares about the recent short movie by Samsung India where he composed a background music. “It started when I got a text from Andrea Tariang, Actress/Singer. She told me that there were people from Mumbai who wanted a playback singer for their upcoming TV commercial/short film for Samsung, and I immediately said yes. It’s a whole new experience and I’m looking forward to opportunities like that.”
When asked how he was chosen for the campaign, Shane said, “I went back and forth with the composer of the track Abhishek. He sent me a demo a day before the recordings so I could get a clear idea of how the song should sound like. And I finished the whole track the next day itself. And let me tell you, they were really happy with the final results even if I have to say so myself. So, yeah, it was really a fun experience.”
Work ahead
Sharing on his upcoming projects he said, “I’m currently working on demos of myself. Song writing opportunities and a few singles hopefully dropping by the end of this year.”
