Shillong, May 1: In a significant inter-state visit, La Ganesan, the Governor of Nagaland, embarked on a four-day official trip to Meghalaya, where he met with the state’s Governor, Phagu Chauhan. The meeting at Raj Bhavan centered on strengthening the partnership between the two northeastern states.
The governors discussed various topics including cultural exchanges, regional development projects and ways to enhance the relationship between Nagaland and Meghalaya. Both leaders expressed a keen interest in fostering closer ties and cooperation.
In addition to his official engagements, Governor Ganesan visited the Rhino Heritage Museum in Shillong. Major General Amar Ramdasani, Chief of Staff of the 101 Area, hosted the Governor, providing him with a detailed briefing on the military unit’s history and achievements.
Governor Ganesan took a special interest in the museum’s collection, commending the efforts to preserve and showcase military artifacts. He praised the museum’s management and highlighted the importance of such facilities in educating the public and honoring military heritage.
