Shillong, Nov 25: Shillong based artist Jayant Chaudhary held an exhibition showcasing his paintings at the Bangiya Sahitya Parishad auditorium in Shillong on Monday.
The exhibition received a warm response from visitors, with many praising the vibrant and unique display of his artwork.
Speaking to reporters, Chaudhary highlighted the importance of preserving traditional hand painting in an era increasingly dominated by digital technology. “In today’s digital age, where hand painting is losing its place, exhibitions like this are essential,” he said, “they allow future generations to understand the value of this art form.”
Chaudhary expressed optimism about the role of artificial intelligence in the future of art. Contrary to fears that Artificial Intelligence (AI) might threaten traditional art, he believes that it can, in fact, enhance it. “AI won’t harm this art,” he noted, “but will give it a new dimension, opening up possibilities for creativity that weren’t available before.”
