Shillong, April 26: The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (MPDCL) issued a notification on Friday stating that due to preventive maintenance work on the 132/33 KV Mawlai Grid Sub Station and the 33/11KV Sub Stations, there will be no power supply in various areas on April 27 from 10 am to 4 pm.

The affected areas include the whole of Mawprem, Upper Mawbah, Lower Mawbah, TB Hospital, Lummawbah, Lewduh, Mission and adjoining areas, Wahthabru, Sunny Hill, Quallapaty, Lumdiengiri, part of Jaiaw Langsnging, Lama Villa, Garikhana, MES, Upper Lachumiere, part of Lower Lachumiere, part of Laban, the whole of Oxford, Keating Road, part of Police Bazar, part of Umsohsun, the whole of Malki, Motinagar, Lumsohphoh, Lumpyngngad, Dhankheti, Cleave Colony, Risa Colony, parts of Laitumkhah, parts of Shillong Jowai Road from Malki Point up to Fire Brigade junction, the whole of Umlyngka, and Nongkseh.

However, MPDCL informed that power supply may be restored prior to the above time if the work is completed early.
