Shillong, Aug 17: As situation is limping back to normalcy in Shillong, the Government on Tuesday decided to relax curfew from Aug 18 i.e Wednesday from 6 am to 4 pm in Shillong city.
Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said that details related to curfew relaxation will be issued by the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills.
He informed that the he had convened the meeting this afternoon to review the law and order situation, wherein decision to relax the curfew was taken. He also informed that the ban on mobile internet will resume on Wednesday at 6 pm.
Informing that situation is calm in the City, he said that the peace committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister will meet tomorrow and chalk out further course of action.
