Tura, Sept 2: Smilecraft Dental Clinic based in Tura organised dentals camps in various schools. The purpose of this camp was to create dental health awareness among the younger generations as well among the students, the parents and the school authorities.
The health camp started few weeks ago in Tura with the team of doctors and assistants doing mandatory checks among the students from class Kg to Class XII.
The dental camps were held at Sherwood school, Captain Williams School, and Hill View School in new Tura. A total of 1600 students benefitted with the dental camps.
On Monday, the team visited Hill View School where 550 students upto classes 10 participated and took note of the doctors’ suggestions.
The doctors not only checked each student but also conducted checks on the staff of the school.
They also gave an awareness class on Oral Health.
The Team wants to explore other schools in near future and also rural areas of Garo Hills.
The team comprised of Dr. Tusiva Marak (Dentist) and Dr. Rakkun Bhujel (Dentist) along with Cynthia Marak (Dental Assistant), and Aileen Marak (Dental Assistant).
