Shillong, April 1: In a relief for the candidates of South Garo Hills appearing for the District Selection Committee (DSC) written examination, their exam has been rescheduled to April 19, 2025.
Earlier, the exam was scheduled for April 12, which was clashing with the date for the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam for the post of Junior Divisional Accountant (JDA).
The DSC exam is for the posts of Forester, Soil & Water Conservation Demonstrator, Sericulture Demonstrator, and Weaving Demonstrator
In view of this situation, the DSC aspirants led by Griksrang S. Sangma had petitioned the Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills to reschedule the exam, bringing to his notice that many aspirants had applied for both exams and expressed concern over being forced to forgo one opportunity due to the date conflict.
In response to the petition, Griksrang informed that the Deputy Commissioner has given a positive response and confirmed that the DSC exam date has been rescheduled from April 12 to April 19, 2025.
