Shillong, Dec 28: Renowned businessman and philanthropist Vikram Singhania, CEO of the Singhania Group, was honored with the prestigious “Atal Award” by Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, during a ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on December 24, 2024.
The award ceremony, part of the 11th National Atal Samman Samaroh, celebrated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The event, organized by the Atal Samman Samaroh Trust, also featured “Atal Gatha,” a musical tribute to Vajpayee’s legacy.
Singhania received the accolade in recognition of his dedicated efforts towards the economic growth of Northeast India, particularly Meghalaya, and his significant contributions to social development through community service initiatives.
With over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, Singhania has been a key figure in fostering progress in the region. His family’s legacy in Meghalaya spans over 150 years, reflecting his deep ties and commitment to the state’s development.
The Atal Award celebrates individuals who embody the values of inclusivity and progress championed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
