Students discover indigenous wisdom by trading classrooms for 80 days of rural life in Garo Hills

Must read

Tura, April 23: In a unique blend of learning and community engagement, students from Tura’s College of Community Science recently uncovered a wealth of indigenous knowledge—not through books or ancient ruins, but by living and working alongside rural indigenous communities in the Garo Hills for 80 days. This novel approach to learning was more than just a study tour; it was equally about giving back to the community by empowering villagers with practical skills, promoting self-reliance, and fostering sustainable rural development.
