Guwahati, May 5: To cater to the surge in passenger demand during the summer season, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) has announced the operation of three pairs of summer special trains from Guwahati. These special trains will provide relief to waitlisted passengers traveling on popular routes.
The first summer special train, numbered 05656, will run between Guwahati and Jammu Tawi in Jammu & Kashmir, making nine trips in each direction. The train will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, and sleeper class coaches for passenger convenience. It will depart from Guwahati every Monday from May 6 to July 1, 2024, and from Jammu Tawi every Thursday from May 9 to July 4, 2024.
The second summer special train numbered 05610, will operate between Guwahati and Hadapsar in Pune, Maharashtra, making eight trips in each direction. This train will also have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, and sleeper class coaches. It will depart from Guwahati every Monday from May 6 to June 24, 2024, and from Hadapsar every Thursday from May 9 to June 27, 2024.
Additionally, a one-way summer special train, numbered 05663, will run from Guwahati to Agartala on May 7, 2024. This train will consist of AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper, and general coaches.
Passengers are advised to verify the details of stoppages and timings of these trains on the IRCTC website or through newspapers and social media platforms of N. F. Railway.
