Tura, Jan 5: Scorpio vehicles owners in Tura have come together to form a community welfare initiative styled as “Scorpio United Organisation”.
The group was formed in a meeting held at Chenik Resort, in the outskirt of Tura town under the leadership of Ismail Marak. The organisation aims to initiate charitable works, environment conservation, promote road safety awareness, showcase and promote tourism in Garo hills, etc.
“Our mission is to create a platform where Scorpio vehicle owners can unite to contribute positively to society. By focusing on charitable and environmental initiatives, we hope to make a meaningful difference. This is a politics-free organization, open to all without barriers,” said Marak in a statement issued to the media.
They have also urged Scorpio vehicle owners to come out and be part of the organisation from across Garo hills.
The members of the new organisation are : Tengkrang A Sangma as President, Mahmood A Sangma as Vice-President, Rocky R Marak as General Secretary, Kunal Ch Momin as Joint-Secretary, Munna Aron G Momin as Finance Secretary, Sumit Dey as Publicity Secretary and 15 (fifteen) Executive Members.
