Shillong, June 23: A 15-year-old boy named Sidharth Chhetri was reportedly swept away by a flash flood triggered by sudden heavy rainfall in Umkaliar on Sunday afternoon.
According to Krishna Chhetri, the father, Sidharth had been swimming with 3-4 friends when the heavy rainfall caused a flash flood that swept him and one of his friends away. But, the friend was rescued by individuals near the river.
As of the latest update, police and family members are continuing their search for Sidharth, who remains missing.
