Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured to invite the SSA teachers for further discussion before the government takes a final call on the need to come up with a policy to regularise their services.

The Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA) has decided to soon take a call on the state government's decision to put on proposal for enhancing the salary of over 12,541 SSA teachers across the state.
Addressing media persons, MSSASA president Aristotle C Rymbai said the association had submitted a representation to the chairperson of the State Education Commission on October 1, 2023 for creation of posts and shifting of 12541 existing SSA teachers from State Implementing Society to State Education department on regular basis as per provision of RTE/SSA norms.
"After the half-yearly examinations, we will take stern decision on the matter. We will organize a sit-in-demonstration in front of the DC's office to demand the immediate halt of the move to implement the Ubiattendance App," MSSASA president Aristotle C Rymbai said here.
