On December 11 (Monday), the Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver its verdict on a series of petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Four years after the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution was abrogated by the Central Government, the most awaited anticipated hearing of the petitions challenging the decision started in the Supreme Court on August 2, 2023.
