The Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Darrang Mela Police Outpost in Assam's Tamulpur who was arrested for accepting demand money has been awarded a penalty of 'Reduction in Rank' for gross misconduct.
An inspector of Assam police has been suspended for allegedly clicking obscene photographs of a minor girl inside police station premises in Assam's Nalbari district. He is currently on the run.
