The Assam police have taken up pro-active steps to become the police unit much healthier and fitter. Over the next 15 days, approximately 67,000 members of the Assam Police will undergo body weight assessment and measurement of their Body Mass Index (BMI), aimed at cultivating a "healthier police force."
During the operation at Boalia para village, Assam Police Additional Superintendent of Police, Bidyut Saikia, who led the team, discovered nine Aadhar cards, several PAN cards, and Bangladeshi documents in the possession of one Kajal Sarkar, whose residence was raided.
With the assistance of the Belonia police station, Partha Sen was arrested and produced in court for transit remand and, on Tuesday, the suspect has been taken to Silchar.
