The 2024-25 BCCI domestic season will be an historic one for the Meghalaya senior men's team and the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has revealed a shortlist of 30 players for the campaign ahead.
The 9th Conclave of the North East Cricket Development Committee (NECDC) and the 3rd Achievers Awards Night will take place at the State Convention Centre in Shillong on June 1, 2024.
The players - Apandanka Marak, Gaurav Jyoti Thakuria and Dipayan Nandi - have been selected on the basis of their tremendous performances during this season's U-16 boys Vijay Merchant Trophy, which ran from 1 December 2023 to 6 January 2024 in which Meghalaya were the runners-up in the plate group.
A solid fight took Meghalaya to within touching distance of victory but they were beaten by Railways by 32 runs in their last Men's U-23 State A Trophy, a domestic one day tournament organised by the BCCI.
Meghalaya came agonisingly close to their first victory of the season in BCCI domestic cricket but fell short by just 4 runs against Sikkim in the Women's U-19 T20 Trophy in Mumbai on Friday.
