The National People's Party (NPP) of East Garo Hills has strongly condemned the circulation of fake news on social media, falsely alleging that Marcuise N. Marak, Cabinet Minister of Meghalaya and local MLA of Williamnagar, was assassinated by the militant group GNLA.
Videos circulating on social media reveal the use of inflammatory language by these troublemakers, pointing towards a potential larger conspiracy to harm the Chief Minister and other leaders.
