The Special Inquiry Committee (SIC) of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) has summoned MDC Bernard N. Marak for an oral briefing on July 4 at 1:00 PM in connection with the controversial GST consultancy engagement
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced the name of GHADC’s sitting Tura MDC and state vice president Bernard N Marak as its official candidate for the upcoming Gambegre bye-election, to be held on November 13.
In a startling revelation ahead of the Gambegre bye-poll, BJP Meghalaya’s vice president and Tura MDC, Bernard Marak, has revealed that Tura Lok Sabha MP, Saleng Sangma, had sought BJP’s support during the parliamentary election, held earlier this year.
BJP leader and Tura MDC Bernard N Marak on Friday said the 80% reservation for the Garo, Khasi and Jaintia is a unique structure which should not be disturbed.
