A significant blow to Left-Wing Extremism was dealt on Monday night as security forces killed senior Maoist leader Jayaram Reddy, alias Chalapati, along with 13 other Maoists, in an intense encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband district near the Odisha border.
