Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said targeted interventions over the past seven years have led to a substantial increase in earnings for farmers engaged in high-value horticulture and allied activities. Beneficiary farmers participating in government programs focused on mushroom cultivation, floriculture, and cash crops like strawberry, passion fruit, ginger, and turmeric have reported an income rise of 30% to 80%.
