According to reports, the incident occurred at around 12.30 PM in the illegal Tikok West Mining site between Bargolai and Namdang located under the Tikok coal mine in Ledo.
Patkai hills, situated at Ledo-Margherita area of eastern Assam Tinsukia district has recently become a grave for illegal coal miners after dozens of death during miming has been reported.
