Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has continued his tour of Garo Hills to assess the damage caused by landslides and floods due to unprecedented rainfall.
The recent destruction in Garo Hills is unprecedented and none has been left untouched. While Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Tuesday toured and met flood and landslide affected people in West Garo Hills, comforting and assuring them support, he was suddenly drawn to a large group of residents at Choipani in Dalu – the non-indigenous residents of Garo Hills.

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday visited the flood and landslide hit areas of West Garo Hills district and interacted with the affected families in relief camps and villages as well as distributed ex-gratia to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the recent tragedies.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma visited the family of Late Bijoy S Marak (Father) and Late Wian Chigado R. Marak (Son) at Rongkhon Songgital in Tura & handed over ex-gratia payment.
