The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Branch of the Assam police arrested a head constable of the Assam police on Tuesday for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 in Assam's Darrang district.
A 45-year-old man, suspected to be a goat thief, was caught and brutally thrashed to death in Assam's Darrang district. Fourteen people have been arrested in connection with the man's death.
