Dul Doka was practiced in the ancient times beating the ‘Dul’ or the drum in order to gather attention of the public to disseminate certain important announcement, the same was enacted where artists called out the voters to cast their vote in the upcoming Lok sabha on April 19.
Garo traditional method of spreading information through drum beats known as “Dul Doka”, was used to educate voters and enhance participation in the electoral process at the weekly market centre in Ampati on Saturday.
