The state government has announced plans to construct an Eastern Bypass from Sohryngkham to Mawshbuit and Mawlynrei, aiming to reduce congestion in Shillong city. The proposed 9.95 km road will enable commercial vehicles to bypass the city, alleviating traffic woes.
