Dr Mehtab Chandee A. Sangma, the wife of Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, has created history by breaching the Congress fortress in Gambegre and winning the seat by a huge margin of over 4500 votes. To be exact, it is 4594 votes.
The stage is all set for counting of votes on Saturday for the Gambegre bye-election. Counting will start at 8 AM at the office premises of the Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Tura.
